Submit a Proposal

The Productivity Investment Fund is seeking Statements of Interest (SOI) from public or private entities partnering with state agencies (respondents) to enable a simpler and more effective government. The PIF Board will consider responses to this Request for Information (RFI) and allocate funding based on availability and quality of proposals. Project proposals should address one or more of these Commonwealth objectives:

  1. Lower operating costs
  2. Reduce constituent service transaction times
  3. Advance key performance goals as published on the Virginia Performs website (www.vaperforms.virginia.gov)

The primary focus of the PIF is to raise productivity by lowering operating costs and increasing efficiency. A strong secondary focus will be placed on reducing transaction time and enhancing the emotional experience a constituent has through their interaction with the government. Projects with a cost-savings element may be required to repay the PIF. This will be negotiated with the Department of Planning and Budget after the award is made.

Deadline is Friday, June 13th, 11:59 pm, either by mail or electronically. To simplify the submission of PIF applications we have developed an online submission tool. Click Here to access the tool and submit your application. Applications will still be accepted by mail or e-mail, though use of the online tool is recommended and preferred. SOIs may come from public or private entities partnering with state agencies and must have agency head support.
